From 15 to 17 May 2026, Bukhara hosted the III International Gold Embroidery and Jewelry Festival. The event featured exhibitions, a cultural programme and an international academic conference, bringing together artisans, researchers and guests from a number of countries.
The III International Gold Embroidery and Jewelry Festival took place from 15 to 17 May 2026 in Bukhara. The event brought together representatives of craft, academic and cultural communities from different countries and became a major international platform for sharing experience and showcasing the traditional art of the region.
The festival included an international academic conference focusing on the development of traditional decorative, applied and jewellery arts, as well as the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage.
Participant support and coordination of the academic section on behalf of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan were provided by Masharib Saydamatovich – Deputy Director for Research at the Institute of Art Studies, Doctor of Arts (DSc), Senior Researcher. During the festival, he ensured organisational support for the participants and took part in the running of the international conference.
The festival was held with the participation of the Khokimiyat of Bukhara Region, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Republican Association “Hunarmand” and the Directorate of Festivals.
