Jewelry and Its Secret Language
Jewelry art is not just the creation of beautiful things, but also a language understood by people. This language conveys not only the beauty of the pieces but also their meaning. Therefore, I want to share thoughts on the spiritual connection between the craftsman and his art.
The materials I choose for my jewelry carry a special energy. If a person wears them with love, they seem to become part of their inner world. Jewelry is not just shine and appearance; it is a piece of the artisan’s soul embodied in metal and stone.
In Turkmen culture, jewelry art occupies a special place. Women’s jewelry consists of items made of gold and silver. These items not only serve for beauty but also carry protective meaning. Silver necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and chest ornaments with stones — all have their own significance.
Symbolic patterns are depicted on jewelry, which protect a woman from evil forces, giving her energy and life force. Silver is considered a pure metal; it reflects negative influences and brings calm.
Gold, on the contrary, symbolizes the sun, joy, and prosperity. Gold jewelry is associated with warmth, life energy, and love. For example, real gold has a “living” shine that can be felt even without light.
Jewelry art is a special language of beauty. Every piece has its own story and energy. Even the shape of the item or the pattern on it carries meaning.
Modern artisans strive to combine ancient traditions with new forms, so that jewelry looks fresh while preserving the spirit of old symbols.
We, jewelers, try not to lose ancient ornaments, carefully passing them on in new pieces so that they continue to live and are not forgotten.
